Large Antique 19th Century Ecclesiastic Scottish Gothic Revival Pew
A single large church pew executed in the Gothic Revival style, consistent with 19th-century Ecclesiastic Scottish design. The piece is constructed of wood, finished with a warm, glossy, honey-colored stain, visually consistent with pitch pine or a similar softwood, though similar examples in the market are often attributed as oak. The design features tall, solid end standards detailed with extensive carved Gothic tracery, including finials and ogee arches. The main backrest consists of simpler vertical plank paneling. The reverse side of the pew includes an integrated high shelf and a lower structural element, likely intended for hymnals or kneeling aids. No manufacturer markings or inscriptions are visible.
