A PORTABLE THANGKA DEPICTING WHITE TARA 西藏 十三世纪 随身白度母唐卡 Tibet, 13th century Size.14x12.7cm Painted in mineral pigments on cloth, this intimate portable thangka depicts White Tara (Sitatara), the female embodiment of compassion and longevity. She is shown seated in lalitasana on a pink lotus pedestal, her right hand in the varada mudra (gesture of granting blessings) and her left hand holding the stem of an unseen lotus. Her body is rendered in pale tones, adorned with jewels and a five-leaf crown, surrounded by a luminous rainbow mandorla symbolizing divine purity and transcendence. 此幅唐卡以天然矿物颜料绘制于布本之上,主尊为白度母端坐于莲台之上,呈半跏趺坐姿,右手施予愿印,左手持莲花茎。白度母为慈悲与长寿的化身,面容宁静,身饰璎珞宝冠,体态柔美,背光为彩虹光环,象征清净无垢与超越凡界。画面色彩柔和古雅,线条细致流畅,显现十三世纪西藏早期绘画的风格特征。
