Early 20th Century 12th Lancers Other Ranks Peaked Dress Cap. A fair example of the dress cap for the 12th lancers other ranks. Scarlet wool construction with black piping to the crown. Leather peak and 12th lancers brass buttons to each side to hold the chin strap, which is unfortunately missing. Green under peak and an off white leather sweatband is in situ. A gold lettered tailors mark of 'Hawkes' is embossed to the crown inner. Age related wear and mothing, otherwise a good example.
