WW1 British Steel Helmet of the Black Watch (Royal Highlanders), interesting example of a 2nd model Brodie steel helmet with cover to the brim, rough textured grey / blue paint finish with a socket fitting added to hold a regimental red hackle plume. The helmet retains the original leather chinstrap but a later replaced liner system, however this has been added a long time ago. The helmet shows wear but an unusual item.
