£300
WW1 British 2nd Pattern Steel Combat Helmet, good example of a 2nd model helmet which retains much of the original textured paint finish to the exterior of the shell. Complete with the original oilskin cloth liner with pink brodie stamp to the underside. Leather chinstrap to the helmet. Attached to the helmet is a canvas cloth cover with a embroidered black fused grenade and 'N.F' underneath for the Northumberland Fusiliers, we are of the opinion that the cover is later than WW1 period. The shell has some rust damage but otherwise a good example.
