An Assortment of Vintage and Contemporary Garden and Utility Tools
A collection of various garden and utility tools including both traditional and modern implements. The group comprises a square-mouth shovel with a rusted metal blade and a wooden shaft terminating in a classic metal-reinforced D-handle, a spring-tine leaf rake with green-painted metal tines and a wooden handle, and a Dutch hoe with a rusted metal blade. Also included are a long-handled soil rake with a rusted tined head, a floor broom featuring a wooden head with red synthetic bristles, and a pair of long-handled loppers with light blue metal handles and purple-coloured grips. A heavy wooden mallet or tamper block mounted on a short wooden handle is also present, alongside several additional long wooden handles. The tools are primarily constructed from wood (likely ash) and a variety of forged or cast iron and steel. While labels are visible on the neck of the leaf rake and the head of the broom, and yellow tape is wrapped around the shovel shaft, no specific maker's marks are clearly legible.
