Well now you can join in as Liskeard Auction Rooms are running regular general sales in South East Cornwall, with an exciting and varied array of new and pre-owned lots.

Whether it's antiques, household goods, furniture, books, pictures, ornaments, curios, job lots for resale, or boxes of bric-a-brac we are sure to have something to tempt you so why not come along and join us? For auction dates see our 'Events' page, and for fuller details of what we expect to have on offer, please click on the 'Catalogue' page.

All of our sales are free to attend, and our site has easy loading / unloading, disabled access, toilet and refreshment facilities. Tea and coffee, pasties and cold snacks are available in the saleroom. We are easy to find, and are located on Moorswater Business Park. You can park nearby, either on the road at the front, or the big park within approximately 200 yards.

If you have something which you would like us to include in the sale, please just bring it along on a Tuesday between 10.00am and 5.00pm or alternatively contact us beforehand for a free appraisal (our opening times are shown below). Note that we don't accept items at other times unless it has been specifically agreed beforehand. Should you decide to proceed, you'll pay a competitive rate of just 22% commission (plus VAT on the commission value only) on the hammer (i.e. sale) price. We now have a small minimum commission charge (£2.40) but we do not levy any administration fees for making payments to you.

If you are coming along to bid, you pay the hammer (i.e. sale) price plus a 22% (plus VAT on the commission value only) buyer's premium on every item purchased. All lots must be paid for in full on the day of the sale or at the latest by 5pm on the Monday following the sale. Note that we are not only a cash-only auction and we accept credit/debit cards on any items over £20.00.

We also remind you the we do full or part house clearances and would be happy to give you a quote at any time. We can either buy your items or sell them for you on the usual terms. We are the cheapest in the area because of our weekly auctions, and there is only a 48hr (Tuesday) delay in receiving payment following the sale of your items.

Just put PL14 4LN in your Satnav and we'll see you there!

Terms & Conditions
GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. Registration. To assist the progress of the sale, all prospective buyers shall pre-register their details with us and obtain a bidding number before the sale commences. Bids will not be accepted unless this process has been satisfied. Pre-registration requires you to supply your name, postal address, and contact telephone number. Bidders at our auctions must be at least 18 years or age. Evidence of identity or proof of age may be requested.

2. The Buyer. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer at the fall of the hammer will be deemed the buyer. If any dispute arises, the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion to settle the matter. No bid may be retracted once acknowledged by the auctioneer. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid. The bidder in the room who is successful in purchasing any lot(s) is entirely responsible for paying for such lot(s) in accordance with our General Conditions of Sale. 5. Seller's Fees. Vendors may specify a reserve (i.e. minimum sale) price if they so wish, or alternatively items can be offered for sale with no reserve. Where no reserve price is specified, whilst the auctioneer will endeavour to achieve a realistic price for the locality and market conditions, items could sell for less than the seller would have hoped for. (Where bids are not forthcoming or where the auctioneer feels that they are too low, items may be unsold or held over for entry into a later sale to try and achieve an appropriate figure). In addition, on all sales, a vendor's commission of 20% (plus VAT on the commission value only) will be deducted before settlement is made.
SELLERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN DESCRIPTIONS, we will only change items that we know to be genuine for fact,

Items remaining on the premises after this time automatically become the property of the auctioneer and will be sold, disposed of, or destroyed unless alternative arrangements have been made. Charges for disposal of uncollected items will be payable by the vendor, and an appropriate deduction will be made from any sale proceeds or an invoice raised.

16a, All lots sold are subject to £2 minimum commission or 20% whichever is greater,
there can be no exceptions to this rule.
