1843 (Feb 12) Valentine lettersheet with a picture of two lovers in the Scottish countryside, engraved by J. Fairburn, 110 Minories, hand coloured with a verse below, entitled "The Lass O Gowrie". Posted from Norwich to "Master Edward Lubbock, Scottow Vicarage, near North Walsham" bearing a 1d red (just touched at left), reverse with Norwich datestamp and "Too Late". A fine and attractive valentine which can be folded to display the picture and backstamps. Photo on Page 8.
