AN EXTREMELY RARE OCTAGONAL COPPER ALLOY TALISMANIC SEAL BEARING THE NAME OF SHAH JAHAN , MUGHAL INDIA , DATED 1064 AH - 1653 A.D.


An octagonal talismanic plaque cast in a copper alloy bearing the name of shah Jahan. The obverse is decorated with raised calligraphic script in a style resembling Thuluth or Nasta'liq, organised into a central square and four border panels. The inscriptions include the Islamic Shahada.
