A Doulton Lambeth Pottery stoneware brandy barrel, relief moulded with the Royal Coat of Arms and fruiting vine decoration. Height 36 cm, top diameter 24 cm.
Looking at the top of the barrel there is a hairline crack running from the edge right the way towards the hole in the centre. There is also a chip to the rear on the top rim, the main body of the vase just shows age-related wear, light scratches etc. The front tap area has been completely restored and there are several chips to the underside on the base.
