1897 Pattern Victorian Attributed Officer's Sword
31 3/4 inch, dumbbell blade with central fuller. Etched foliage scrolls, crowned crest, crowned VR cypher and owner's name "R. Austin Nevill". Forte with retailer "G Colle Cardiff" and stamped maker "W.K & C.". Nickel plated, foliage pierced guard with crowned VR cypher. Nickel plated, plain pommel and checkered backstrap. Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its brown leather field scabbard complete with frog, Sam Browne belt and cross strap.
