Gustav Doré (1832 - 1883), a set of eight scenes from the Gospels, signed in pencil (seven with an additional signature in pencil), steel engravings, published by Fairless & Beeforth, Doré Gallery, 35 New Bond Street, 1875 - 1882, two with Doré Gallery labels on the reverse for The Lord Robert Montagu MP, 91 Queen's Gate, 56.5 x 83 cm, contemporary frames and glazed (two without glass), frame 90.5 x 116 cm Qty: (8) The Lord Robert Montagu MP (1825 - 1902) - second son of the 6th Duke of Manchester, MP for Huntingdonshire and Westmeath, Vice-President of the Committee on Education. Died 1902 at 91 Queen's Gate, South Kensington. Generally worn and in need of restoration.
