Militaria : A c1850 French Infantry Officer's dress sword , the blade having wide single fuller and bevelled edge , indistinctly marked behind foreguard and sparsely decorated with cannon , flags , drums and roses . The gilt guard decorated with stacked arms and lion's head within oval and bordered by laurel chaplet . Mother of pearl grips terminating in a curved pommel formed as an armoured soldier's head topped with fleur de lys . Approximately 37 1/2'' long
