Bayonet: An exceptionally rare Remington Model no 13 bayonet for the Model 1913 Boy's Rifle, formally called the "Boy Scout Rifle." Only 1000 were manufactured (see R.D.C. Evans, page 225 & Janzens Notebook, page 238). Blade, 7", rounded at tip (to prevent boys from wounding each other when fencing). In its original stout leather scabbard with belt loop, in very good condition. The bayonet with light rust patina. Pommel spigot appears broken off.
