Australian Lithgow Pattern 1907 Bayonet with Scabbard and Canvas Frog
Australian-made Lithgow Pattern 1907 bayonet for the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield SMLE rifle, World War I era, complete with blackened scabbard and khaki canvas belt frog. The bayonet has wooden grip scales secured by two slotted screws, a steel crossguard with muzzle ring, and a pommel with press-stud release. The scabbard features a steel chape and age-related patina, and the canvas frog shows period webbing construction with riveted reinforcement. Blade length approximately 16 inches. A classic Commonwealth issue bayonet retained in service into World War II.
