An Indian Bronze Figure of a Stylised Horse, 19th Century or Later.
An Indian cast bronze figure depicting a stylised horse standing upon a rectangular openwork plinth, raised on a stepped square base. The animal is rendered in a highly simplified and abstracted manner, with elongated cylindrical legs supporting a compact body.
The head is slightly turned, framed by a thick collar-like band encircling the neck. A small attendant figure is shown grasping the horse around the neck, positioned behind the head in a protective or guiding gesture. The horse’s ears are upright, the tail lifted, and the surface displays a rich brown tone consistent with age.
