VERY EARLY LETTER FROM VENICE TO "ALEXANDRETTA" (S.E. TURKEY); 1419/1420 EL (small hole and some staining affects mostly the contents) headed inside "Anno mccccxviiii [= 1419]. In Venecia" and with "xxii dizembre" at the foot after the signature; addressed to "Alexandrasetta" (now Iskenderun, Turkey on the east coast of the Med.) and conveniently endorsed with date of receipt on the front; "1420 a di 10 Marzo, per la nave de Marzo...[?]".
