A mid 19c French mantel clock, the dial marked for the retailer J. Muirhead, the movement by Rainge Freres, in an ormolu case surmounted by female Arab figure with a water jug. The 9cm diam white enamel dial has Roman numerals and the movement is countwheel striking on a bell, 43cm tall overall.
The movement seems complete and the dial undamaged. the case is complete but the gilding is rather tarnished.
