A late 19c French garniture de cheminee comprising a central clock element surmounted by a female figure entitled 'Rose des Bois' and two flanking female attendants. The figures and decorative mounts and fret are of gilt spelter and the bases and clock case body are of green onyx. The 9cm diam white enamel dial has arabic numerals with a central floral swag and the single train movement has a Tic-Tac escapement. The clock element 61cm h ad the flanking figures approx 41cm h.
the garniture is materially undamaged but the gilding to the spelter is very tarnished and the onyx needs cleaning. the clock dial and glass are undamaged and the movement seems compelete but all require cleaning.
