A Chinese Bronze Tripod Censer, Xuande Mark. -

A Chinese bronze tripod censer, featuring a circular, slightly bulbous body supported by three stylized zoomorphic legs, possibly depicting mythical lion heads or *fu dogs*. The dark bronze surface exhibits a rich, varied patina. The underside reveals a recessed circular medallion centrally cast with two finely detailed five-clawed dragons amidst clouds, encircling a six-character reign mark which reads "大明宣德年製" (Dà Míng Xuāndé nián zhì), translating to "Made in the Great Ming Xuande Period."
