Nicholas Lambert, London - Fine and rare 18th century two tune musical ebonised table clock, signed 8" arched brass dial with decorative brass spandrels, applied silvered chapter ring, matted centre with a mock pendulum aperture over a date aperture, strike/silent lever to the 3 o'clock position and a musical selection dial to the arch with 'The Happy Clown' and 'A Rigadoon', six pillar movement with a finely engraved back plate with scrolls, verge escapement striking and repeating the hour on a bell, the musical train with repeat striking eight bells with sixteen hammers at each hour, in a fine ebonised inverted bell top case with carved fret side panels and applied brass mouldings, with a brass carry handle, turned finials and bracket feet. 20.5" high with the handle raised (with winding key and two door keys)
