An excellent quality gilt framed oil on canvas after the famous Raphael 16th century painting (originally painted in 1514), the original being housed in the Palazzo Pitti collection in Florence depicting Mary embracing the child Christ whilst the young John the Baptist devoutly watches and titled “Madonna Della Seggiola”
Two slight tears to the canvas, damage to some gilding and overall age related crazing.
