A Victorian silver 'castle top' card case by Hilliard & Thomason?, the front depicting a scene of a cathedral, on a matt ground amid scrolls, with engraved inscription verso, Birmingham, 1871, 97mm (a.f.), in original fitted leather case.

There appears to be numerous old solder repairs around the edges of the case in places.
