English School, 19th century Portrait of A Gentleman, Thought to be Sir Robert Buckley Comyn, Master of the Bench of The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple oil on canvas 76 x 64 cm, framed 104.5 x 92 cm Footnote: Sir Robert Buckley Comyn (1792 - 1853) was called to the Bar from Lincoln's Inn in 1814, served as a puisne judge in Calcutta from 1825 to 1835, and became Chief Justice of the Madras High Court from 1835 to 1842. He retired in 1842 and was elected a Bencher to the Middle Temple in 1844.
