Illario - a diamond and sapphire snake link bracelet, circa 1960, the articulated links of foliate design embellished with a granulated edge, claw-set with three rows of alternating brilliant-cut diamonds and circular-cut sapphires, fitted with a concealed tongue clasp with gem-set thumbpiece, and a figure-of-eight safety catch, Italian assay marks '750' and registry mark '26 AL' for Carlo Illario e Fratelli between 1944-1968, overall length 19.3 cm, total weight of item 50.2 grams. Carlo Illario e F.lli was founded in 1920 by three brothers – Carlo, Vincenzo and Luigi Illario. Illario created many pieces for Bulgari throughout the 1950-70s including Serpenti watch bracelets.
