An East India Company Burma medal, the Burmese elephant kneeling before the British lion, with flags behind, the reverse the epic assault on the great pagoda at Rangoon by the Irrawaddy Flotilla. On a steel clip and large ring suspension. The silver medal was awarded to Indian troops from Bengal and Madras, the officers received a gold example. British troops received the Ava clasp to the Army of India Medal.
