PROVENANCE: From the collection of Colonel Mary M. Munro, who was the first woman colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps. She graduated from St. Andrews University in 1936 before joining the army. Her last station was in Hong Kong in the 1960s, where she collected her jade collection.
Twelve other pieces from her collection were included by Marchant in their 75th Anniversary Exhibition in 2000 of Post-Archaic Chinese Jades from Private Collections.
