AN INDIAN GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL WITH PERAK CLASP TO A ROYAL MARINE ABOARD H.M.S. CHARYBDIS. An Indian General Service Medal with Perak clasp named to W.C. Freeman Pte R.M. H.M.S. 'Charybdis'. Remounted Court style. William Charles Freeman from London attested for the 1st Tower Hamlets Militiamen, Chatham Division, on the 2nd April 1867, having previously served 3 years with the 25th Regiment of Foot. He served aboard H.M.S Duncan, Pembroke and Charybdis. He was invalided in 1876 for a 'Hernia'. With copied service record and medal roll. One of 257 medals with the clasp to the Charybdis.
