Rafi ud-Darajats Silver Indian/Mughal Coin, Islamic Coin. India
The Mughal Rafi ud-Darajat 1 Rupee coin is an important piece of historical numismatic currency from the Mughal Empire.
Rafi ud-Darajat was the Mughal Emperor who ruled for a very short period from 1719, during a time of political instability and succession crises. His reign lasted only a few months, and he was one of the many short-lived emperors who came to power following the death of Aurangzeb, the last powerful Mughal ruler.
Coins from his reign, such as the 1 Rupee coin, are highly valued by collectors because they are rare. Mughal coins are famous for their detailed inscriptions and artwork, and each ruler’s coinage often carries their name, title, and sometimes a religious reference or royal symbolism.
These coins are typically made from silver, and the 1 Rupee denomination is part of the Mughal currency system. On one side of the coin, you might see the name of the emperor, Rafi ud-Darajat, in Arabic, along with his title and the minting date. On the other side, you might find Islamic script, including religious or royal symbols.
