Fabulous solid marble 19th century white bust of Dante (Alighieri). Amazing large bust in very good condition. It's very heavy, a good two person lift, 23" Tall and 12" wide. A very similar bust sold at Christie's in the UK on 2015 for £9,200. Super piece from a very fine home in Dublin.
Dante was an Italian Philosopher, poet and Political Thinker and was best known for " The Divine Comedy" and "Inferno". Born in 1265 in Florence.
