A BOX CONTAINING A WWII GROUP OF MEDALS, to a soldier killed in action fighting with the 6th Btn North Staffordshire Regiment in the Battle for Normandy in WWII, original box, with 1939-45 and France and Germany Stars, Defence and War medal, together with Casualty slip to Sgt W.G. Swift, 5049402 George Wilfred Swift was KIA on July 8th, 1944 in Normandy near to Chateau de Mathieu, he is buried in the Cambes en Plaine Military Cemetery, also present are Swifts Army book, together with press cuttings concerning his death and postcards of the area where he lost his life and a number of North Staffordshire cap badges etc, in a small frame, together with some military buttons, other cap badges etc and a military style blazer and trousers
