AN INTERESTING ARCHIVE OF BOER WAR TO WWII MILITARIA COVERING CIVIL DEFENCE AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS ITEMS AND COMMUNICATIONS, this lot includes a Special Constabulary medal named to Wilfred H. Head, an ARP whistle, two ARP badges that are both hallmarked silver, some cloth Wardens shoulder titles, ARP identification cards for a Mr. H.W. Head and a Mrs. D. R. Head, these were issued by the Borough of Wandsworth, also included is a letter dated Dec.28th 1900 to the Editor of The Cornish Telegraph signed A.T. Quiller-Couch (1863-1944) who was a celebrated British writer, literary critic and a Cambridge professor, known by his pseudonym "Q", he is most famous for compiling The Oxford Book of English Verse, a small collection of telegrams re to newspapers in Penzance and covering important news including the death of Queen Victoria and the Boer War, a WWI Propaganda Iron Cross, a 1914 Constabulary Long Service medal, a Special Constabulary cap badge and a Canadian Medical Corps cap and collar badge (Parcel)
