Notes included: • 1,000,000 Turkish Lira – “Bir Milyon Türk Lirası” (pre-currency reform issue) • 500,000 Turkish Lira – “Beşyüz Bin Türk Lirası” (pre-currency reform issue) • 20 Yeni Türk Lirası – post-2005 currency reform issue • 5 Yeni Türk Lirası – post-2005 currency reform issue The larger denominations were issued during the period of high inflation prior to the 2005 Turkish currency reform, when six zeros were removed from the lira and the “Yeni Türk Lirası” (New Turkish Lira) was introduced.
