AN ISLAMIC SILVER AND LAVENDER AGATE TALISMANIC RING. - A silver talismanic ring featuring a large, oval, translucent agate of a pale lavender hue. The stone is set with a detailed intaglio-carved calligraphic inscription in Arabic script, which has been filled with a dark pigment to enhance legibility. The stone is held within a decorative, openwork bezel characterised by a crenelated upper edge. The shoulders of the ring are further embellished with pierced, openwork scrolling and foliate motifs, tapering to a solid band.
