A Regency exotic wood inlaid sarcophagus shape tea caddy. With rosewood, amboyna, walnut and other specimen inlays, the hinged lid revealing a central green tinted cut glass mixing or sugar bowl flanked by two lidded compartments, the body of exaggerated waisted form raised on paw feet, height 22.5cm, width 44cm, depth 29cm. General good condition. No evidence of worm, one very small area of veneer loss on the back edge of the caddy (see photo), some cracks in the veneer. The lid has a 5cm loss of narrow beading to it's edge. The mixing bowl is in excellent condition. See photos for box interiors etc.
