A Continental, possibly Italian, 18th century silk, velvet, and silver thread hand-embroidered religious panel/tapestry depicting the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The panel portraying the Virigin Mary on a cloud with her head facing upwards. Three winged cherubs surround her. The faces, hands, and feet are painted on card and inset within the embroidery. With a silver thread lace frame on velvet. Framed and glazed.
