The ewer is constructed with a tapered neck and a spout designed in the form of a bird head, fitted with a small hinged lid. A high curved handle with a decorative finial connects the shoulder to the spout assembly. The exterior is heavily decorated with hand-engraved horizontal bands containing Arabic calligraphic script and geometric patterns.
