(Horse racing/games.) 'The Game of the Race [or] The Steeple Chase.', The board only - no counters or dice - of a game based on a horse- or steeple-race. Large elaborate chromo-lithographic representation of a race-course, the course itself marked out in numbers, images of horses and riders, very detailed instructions. Image size 34 x 61 cms, board size 42 x 68 cms. The board folded once, upper board having a large pictorial label laid down. Corners worn. No imprint or date but circa 1860's.
