AN INDIAN MUTINY MEDAL WITHOUT CLASP TO COLONEL H.B.F. WILLIAMSON COMMANDANT OF THE 2ND INFANTRY OF THE KUPPOORTHULLAH CONTINGENT. An Indian Mutiny Medal without clasp named to Colonel Williamson Commandant 2nd Infy Kuppoorthullah Contingent. During the Indian Mutiny Raja-i-Rajgan Raja Randhir Singh, the ruler of Kapurthala place his men in the hands of the Government. Kapurthala, a City in the Punjab state of India and one of the Princely States. The ruler did much to put down the uprising in his region and in 1858 he proceeded at the head of his troops in Ouh where they took part in six engagements capturing several guns. Very good condition, a fine medal to a senior officer with an interesting command.
