A late 19c French mantel clock in rectangular rosewood case with inlays to front and sides depicting gryphons, swags and armorials. The 10cm diam white enamel dial has Roman numerals and a cast brass surround of egg and dart design. The movement is countwheel striking on a bell and the clock stands 28cm tall overall.
Inlay in good condition. Some veneers missing to edge of top panel. 2 sections of timber ring around bezel missing. dial and glass in good condition. Timber ring around rear bezel has cracks. Movement may have been changed at some time. Movement seems complete but needs cleaning.
