AN 18TH CENTURY CARNELIAN AND PASTE CAMEO PENDANT, an oval cut carnelian showing some curved banding, decorated with a small paste cameo of a military gentleman, believed to be the work of James Tassie (1735-1799) unmarked, set in a yellow metal gilt mount, detailed with rope and beading pattern, approximate dimensions length 36mm x width 31mm (condition report: general moderate wear, some very small minor abrasions to carnelian)
