ENGLISH BLACK GLASS SHAFT & GLOBE BOTTLE. 8ins tall, c. 1670. Free Free blown shaft & globe form. Black glass/ dark olive green. Classic flower pot lower body shape, tapering long neck, very pronounced, rounded, string rim. Shallow kick up with blowpipe base pontil. A classic form, delightfully patinated/ overall matt, in a most spectacular condition.
AMENDED 23/04/26: There is an extremely hard to detect 2 inch shoulder stress crack - possible stress/ inmanufacture. Due to the nature of the depth of colour we missed it & in truth it displays quite superbly & really does not detract.
