An Indian Bronze Bird-Form Lidded Censer, 19th Century.

Cast in the form of a bird standing on a rounded pedestal foot, this Indian bronze lidded censer features an elegant curved tail doubling as a support handle. The bird’s plumage is finely incised with stylised feather patterns. Its arched tail is shaped with curled tips, and the wings are subtly lifted from the body.
