SIR GEORGE GREY, 1ST BARONET 'The Memorial of Captain George Grey, Royal Navy' addressed to the Duke of Portland, a former and future Prime Minister of Britain, dated August 1790, outlining his naval services, including capture of the French in the West Indies, serving as captain of St Vincent at The Boyne and at Cadiz, and further asking to be appointed as Naval Officer of Martinico, 33cm x 21cm

Provenance: Acquired 2011. Note: Captain George Grey was Admiral John Jervis’s 2nd Flag-Captain in HMS Victory at the Battle of St Vincent and Flag-Captain of the Royal Yacht Chatham, on which he carried Nelson’s coffin from HMS Victory to Greenwich Hospital.
