U.S.A. 1853 (Sep 21) Entire letter to New York, posted into the Liverpool Floating Receiving House paid 2/- postage + 1/- late fee bearing an embossed 1/- vertical strip of three, cut square, the upper stamp touched on two sides, the lower pair with good margins, each cancelled "466". Endorsed "Baltic" and "Paid Late" with Liverpool F.R.H backstamp, red "PAID" and "12 / CENTS", an unusually fine 1/- strip. Photo on Page 40.
