Japan - Kawasaki. 1942-44 Covers (with enclosed letters) from G.B to Aircraft Fitter D.J Sutch, captured when H.M.S "Hermes" was sunk off the coast of Ceylon in April 1942, comprising covers to "H.M.S Hermes, c/o G.P.O" (2, March/April 1942, one "Return To Sender"), and stampless covers (5) and 3d P.O.W postcards (2) to Kawasaki No. 1 Camp. Also 1943 typed copy of a message broadcast received from Sutch with a covering letter from the Naval Barracks at Lee-on-Sea, and 1945 telegrams sent to Sutch in Canada whilst en route to the U.K, or upon his arrival back in London. An interesting correspondence, the items to Kawasaki Camp all with Japanese censors. (12).
