V. fine and interesting group of forces mail inc. a remarkable 1944 Southern Rhodesia cover to a probable escaped POW in Switzerland, a 1942 cover with a very attractive/elaborate rectangular "PASSED BY CENSOR/BATHURST" cachet, a 1940 cover from Sierra Leone to G.B. with a partial "ELDER DEMPSTER LINE" steamer cancel, a 1941 (?) Sierra Leone to Nigeria cover with and unusual blue "OPENED BY CENSOR" label, a 1942 cover which travelled from Sudan to Ross-on-Wye via Nigeria and via U.S. airmail, an very picturesque 1942 South Africa cover with singed edges and a fine "DAMAGED AS A RESULT/OF ENEMY ACTION" h/s on the flap, plus a number of covers from S. Africa to P.O.W.s in Italy & other cards/covers to G.B. or British Africa destinations. All in superb condition, with fine strikes and written up on pages.
