A PUNJAB MEDAL 1848-49 WITH GOOJERAT AND MOOLTAN CLASPS TO AN OFFICER WITH THE BENGAL NATIVE INFANTRY. A Punjab medal with Goojerat and Mooltan clasps named to Lieut Chas Fortunatus Grant 3rd Regt N.I. Charles Fortunatus Grant had a long and successful career in India, he began his service with the Honourable East India Company as an Ensign in 1837 rising to Lieutenant by 1841 and quartermaster and interpreter to his corps, Captain by 1853, Commandant of the Guzerat Cooley Police Corps, Major in 1862 and finally Lieutenant Colonel in 1867. He died in London in 1874. With copied Gazette extracts.
