A 19th Century percussion travelling pistol, signed POWELL SHEFFIELD to lockplate, with scrolling foliate engraving to hammer, breech, lockplate and trigger guard, with pineapple finial, the 6½" round barrel with flattened top edge with silver line at the false breech and with brass bead fore-sight, the walnut stock with chequered grip, the steel butt plate with central hinged cover, vacant rectangular cartouche with canted corners to top of stock, with steel ramrod pipe and swivel ramrod. 31cm long overall
