A ceramic / glazed wall plaque / plate depicting a scene from the battle of Hastings. Front of plate is embellished with blue repeating details to edge, interspersed each quadrant by coats of arms, and the centre showing three men on horseback. The wording ' hic EST: WILLET ' ' DVX ' and ' HASTINGS M:LXVI ' are to the front and ' Depose ' and other marks (possibly of French origin) to the reverse. Measures 25cm diameter approximately.
